Competences and aid application procedures

20. Monitoring and Inspection.
(a) Investments and/or equipment leasing programs approved by the Ministry of National Economy, shall be monitored by competent departments thereof, and they shall be inspected by inspection bodies of the Ministry of National Economy.
(b) Investments or business plans approved by the General Secretariat for Industry of the Ministry of De-velopment, shall be monitored by competent depart-ments thereof, and they shall be inspected by inspec-tion bodies of the General Secretariat for Industry.
(c) Investments and/or equipment leasing programs approved by Regional Authorities, shall be monitored by the relevant private investments departments thereof, and they shall be inspected by regional in-spection bodies.
(d) Investments and/or equipment leasing programs approved by EOMMEX, shall be monitored and in-spected by the relevant services and bodies thereof.
21. Inspection Bodies
a. Inspection bodies of the Ministry of National Economy.
1. By virtue of decision of the Minister of National Economy, Central Inspection Bodies (C.I.B.) shall be set up to inspect the progress of investment projects and, in general, investments and/or equipment leasing programs or rescue and restructuring business plans, whether they shall be at the stage of implementation or have been completed. Inspection shall be carried out on the basis of terms and conditions stipulated by development laws of the Ministry of National Econ-omy, as well as by decisions or contracts on their eli-gibility for the provisions of such laws. C.I.B.'s shall have authority to inspect investments and/or equip-ment leasing programs or rescue and restructuring business plans which have been made eligible for grants and/or interest or leasing subsidies by virtue of decision of the Minister of National Economy.
2. By virtue of decision of the Minister of National Economy, special inspection bodies shall be set up with the authority to re-inspect investments and/or equipment leasing programs or business plans, which have been made eligible for the provisions of these presents or Law 1892/1990 or 1262/1982 by any com-petent department or body.
b. Inspection bodies of the Ministry of Development
By joint decision of the Ministers of National Econ-omy and Development, Special Inspection Bodies shall be set up at the General Secretariat for Industry of the Ministry of Development to inspect the progress of implementation of business plans under sub-instance (xv) of instance (a), sub-instance (v) of in-stance (e) and sub-instance (xii) of instance (g) of para. 1, article 3, as well as of investments under sub-instances (xvii), (xviii), (xix), (xx) and (xxi) of instances (a) and (f) of para. 1, article 3, whether they shall be at the stage of implementation or have been completed.
Inspection shall be carried out on the basis of terms and conditions stipulated by these presents or Law 1892/1990, as well as by relevant decisions.
c. Regional Inspection Bodies
By virtue of decision of the Minister of National Economy, Regional Inspection Bodies (R.I.B.) shall be set up to inspect the progress of investment projects and, in general, investments and/or equipment leasing programs, whether they shall be at the stage of im-plementation or have been completed. Inspection shall be carried out on the basis of development laws, as well as of relevant decisions.
R.I.B.'s shall have authority to inspect investments and/or equipment leasing programs which shall be implemented within each Region and have been made eligible for grant and/or interest or leasing subsidy, by virtue of decision of the Secretary General of the Re-gional Authority or the Prefect, in case of former de-velopment laws.
d. Inspection Bodies of EOMMEX
By virtue of decision of the President of EOMMEX, Inspection Bodies shall be set up to inspect the pro-gress of investment projects and, in general, invest-ments and/or equipment leasing programs, whether they shall be at the stage of implementation or have been completed. Inspection shall be carried out on the basis of these presents or Laws 1262/1982 and 1892/1990, as well as of relevant decisions.
