Eligible business activities - aided expenditures

Aided expenditures:

(i) The construction, expansion and modernisation of building facilities, special and auxiliary, as well as expenditures for the landscaping of the surrounding area.
(ii). The purchase and installation of new modern machinery and other equipment. The payments under the lease of new modern machinery and other equip-ment.
(iii). The purchase and installation of new systems for the process automation and computerisation, in-cluding the expenditure for the purchase of the neces-sary software and for staff training at the installation stage.
(iv). Expenditures for studies concerning the intro-duction, development and implementation of modern technology, know-how, and modern methods.
(v). The establishment, expansion and modernisa-tion of applied research laboratories.
(vi). The purchase of new means of transportation for the handling of materials and products within the greater plant area, as well as for the mass transporta-tion of personnel. The purchase and installation of modern equipment and the construction of facilities for the handling of materials and products.
(vii). The purchase of the reproductive and prolifer-ating material necessary for the commencement of the manufacturing process, in case of establishment or expansion of units.
(viii). Expenditures for investments concerning the protection of the environment, the restriction of ground, underground, water and air pollution, the res-toration of the natural environment and water recy-cling.
(ix). Expenditures for investments concerning the utilisation of renewable sources of energy, substitution of gas fuels for liquid fuels or electricity, treated refuse from domestic industries, renewable sources of en-ergy, recovery of lost heat, as well as electricity and heat co-production. Furthermore, expenditures for in-vestments concerning energy saving, provided that the investment shall not pertain to manufacturing equipment but rather to driving/operating equipment and installations of the plant, and that a decrease of at least 10% in energy consumption shall result from such investment. Expenditures for investments con-cerning the production of solid fuels from biomass.
(x). Expenditures for dismantling, transportation and re-assembly of the existing equipment, with reference to undertakings relocating for environmental reasons.
j. Agricultural or agro-industrial co-operatives, as well as groups of producers or associations of groups of producers, which have been established according to the provisions of the European Union, implementing investments in mechanical equipment for sowing, cul-tivation and harvesting of agricultural produce.

Aided expenditures:

(i). The purchase and installation of new modern machinery and other equipment. The payments under the lease of new modern machinery and other equip-ment.
(ii). The purchase of new means of transportation for the handling of products.
k. Undertakings standardising, packing, and/or pre-serving agricultural or livestock products or fishery and fish-farming products, on behalf of the same or third parties

l. Undertakings of O.T.A. or prefectural local authori-ties, or co-operatives implementing investments con-cerning the construction and operation of craft indus-try centres and buildings in the special craft industry and industrial zones defined in the urban and physical plan, as well as areas for social and cultural activities, central markets and slaughterhouses. Additionally, in-vestments of the above organisations for the conver-sion and shaping of old industrial plants and other in-stallations into areas for social and cultural activities, central markets and slaughterhouses.
